My Current Favorites on Netflix

Hello all,

Now I know most of you and pretty much the world has a Netflix account.  I remember when Netflix was only sending out DVD’s and not even in the streaming movies and shows yet.  Now that Netflix is now mostly a streaming platform and have grown into creating their own shows for the platform, Netflix is now the norm for many households. So today I basically want to pretty much let you know what shows are currently on my favorites list.

The Punisher is one of my most favorite show right now on Netflix.  With the 2nd season just being released a few days ago, I can’t wait to dive in. The Punisher was introduced to us in season 2 of Netflix Marvel Dare Devil. I love action-packed shows and Jon Bernthal(Walking Dead) is one of my favorite actors at the moment. So if you are wanting to enjoy high intense impact action scenes then this show is for you. Now fair warning this show is not for children to view.

After exacting revenge on the people responsible for the deaths of his wife and children, Frank Castle uncovers a conspiracy that runs deeper than New York’s criminal underworld. Now known as the Punisher, he must dig deep into the conspiracy to discover the truth about injustices that affect more than just him and his family. Assisting the vigilante in his quest to fight criminals are best friend Billy Russo, who runs private military corporation Anvil, and former NSA analyst Micro, who shares common enemies with Castle and helps him as part of a so-called marriage of convenience.

Dare Devil

Dare Devil is another favorite of mine of the moment. The newest season and final season of the show was released late last year.  I am still trying to finish the final season. I am a Marvel buff so of course, when the Netflix released this show I was so excited to watch it. I love the fighting style of Dare Devil and the action scenes are worth the watch. I was pretty disappointed that Netflix canceled the show but I was happy to hear that Disney has future plans for Dare Devil with the Charlie Cox still being the show star.

The first in a planned series of shows detailing the Marvel universe, “Daredevil” follows Matt Murdock, an attorney by day and vigilante by night. Blinded in an accident as a child, Murdock uses his heightened senses as Daredevil to fight crime on the streets of New York after the sun goes down. While Murdock’s day job requires him to believe in the criminal justice system, his alter ego does not follow suit, leading him to take the law into his own hands to protect his Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood and the surrounding communities.

Conversation with a Killer:  The Ted Bundy Tapes

Conversation with a Killer:  The Ted Budy Tapes has been one of the most anticipated documentaries that just been released by Netflix.  I remember when I was a little girl the news coverage surrounding Ted Bundy.  He was one of the most horrific serial killers in U.S. History.  Known for his good looks he preyed on young women.  This documentary dives into numerous taped interviews that a journalist conduct with Ted Bundy while he was on death row in 1980.  I have always been a documentary buff and I couldn’t wait for this particular one to be released.

Narcos Mexico

Narcos Mexico is an American crime drama web television series, that premiered on Netflix. Originally intended to be the fourth season of the Netflix original series Narcos, it was ultimately developed as a companion series focusing on the illegal drug trade in Mexico, whereas the parent series centered on the illegal drug trade in Colombia. I was a huge fan of the original Narcos series and I was pretty hooked from day one. The storyline is pretty awesome and the actors are pretty amazing.

Narcos: Mexico explores the origins of the modern war on drugs by going back to a time when the Mexican trafficking world was a loose and disorganized confederation of small-time independent cannabis growers and dealers. The series charts the rise of the Guadalajara Cartel in the 1980s as Félix Gallardo takes the helm, unifying traffickers in order to build an empire. When DEA agent Kiki Camarena  moves his wife and young son from California to Guadalajara to take on a new post, he quickly learns that his assignment will be more challenging than he ever could have imagined. As Kiki garners intelligence on Félix and becomes more entangled in his mission, a tragic chain of events unfold, affecting the drug trade and the war against it for years to come. This show did not disappoint and I am looking forward to Season 2 of this series.

These shows are a few of my current favorites on my list. I really hope you all enjoyed my quick reviews of the current shows that I am enjoying at the moment. Let me know what your favorites are so I can check them out.

  1. Great list! I’m interested in all of these; I just finished Daredevil, and Punisher is next. I loooove the style of those shows, and how good the storytelling is in each. I hope to also watch the Ted Bundy tapes too, but I have to make sure it’s not right before bed, lol. Thanks for sharing!
