Makeup on a Budget Series: Makeup Revolution London

Hi all,

It has been a little while since I have last posted a makeup on a budget review so this week I want to highlight Makeup Revolution.

With over 28 years’ experience in the cosmetics industry, this British company creates cosmetics, skincare, and haircare on a global level. They create products faster than any brand on the planet. They deliver the highest quality products at the most affordable prices. They believe that everyone – no matter their sex, ethnicity, age, budget or location – should be thrilled by makeup.  Makeup Revolution products are 100% cruelty-free and none of their products are tested on animals. The majority of their products are also vegan.

Only in the last year or two had I ever used Makeup Revolution products. When they introduced their new concealers and also their banana baking powder did I truly take notice.  When I went to my local Ulta store did I really notice that the Makeup Revolution had some great products for a really affordable price.   I bought a few products and I even bought my daughter an eyeshadow palette in which she really loves.

So let’s do a quick review of a few products from Makeup Revolution that I have purchased so far.

Conceal & Define Full Coverage Conceal & Contour- $7.00

When this concealer was first released, everyone compared this to Tarte Shape Tape Concealer.  I absolutely love the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer but not so much the $27.00 price point.  I can say that this concealer comes real close to the Shape Tape but I really didn’t like the chemical smell so much.  I mainly use this concealer for contouring. Using this as a contour truly adds definition to my face.  All depending on the time of year I usually go back and forth between the shades C14 or C15 to contour.  Here is the item description below.

Makeup Revolution’s Conceal & Define Full Coverage Conceal & Contour is designed for long lasting coverage! Featuring 24 shades ranging from fair to deep, in cool, neutral and warm undertones. Lightweight yet full coverage concealer to cover blemishes, even skin tone and counteract dark circles, with a matte finish that won’t settle or accentuate fine lines and pores.

Makeup Revolution Due Brow Definer – $5.00

This eyebrow definer took me pleasantly by surprise.  With the price point of this eyebrow product being only $5.00 I was very hesitant.  When I first used this product I was pretty happy that I was able to fill in and define my eyebrows.  I can low key compare this to the Benefit Cosmetics Goof Proof Brow Pencil which retails for $24.00.  Being a single mom on a budget I can’t always purchase the Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil to often.  I usually try to get it on sale or when Ulta has some good offers on them which are not too often.  So if you are budget conscious like myself the Makeup Revolution Brow Definer is a great dupe.

Makeup Revolution Liquid Highlighter – $9.00

The Makeup Revolution Liquid Highlighter is one of my favorite products to use.  In comparison to other pricer brands, this hands down is a great product for the price point. When I want to have a more bronzed look especially during the summer time I will mix this liquid highlighter in my foundation to create a glowing effect.  I currently use the rose gold, bronze gold, and champagne shades of this product.  Here is the item description below.

A stunning highly reflective rose gold liquid highlighter drops with a variety of uses! This concentrated highly pigmented highlighter is a must have for all lovers of glow! Can be used alone as a liquid highlighter, simply apply to the high points of the face and blend with a synthetic brush or sponge for dimension and glow. Mix into your favorite foundation for a more dewy and illuminous finish. Mix into your body lotion and creams for a gorgeous all-over glow, or use alone with your everyday skincare for a natural glow from within on even bare skin days

Makeup Revolution Reloaded Palette(Newtrals 3) – $7.00

The Makeup Revolution Reloaded Palette is a very affordable option for eyeshadow palettes.  This palette comes in 10 different sets of palette shades.  I chose to purchase and review the Reloaded Palette in Newtral 3.  When I saw this palette in the Ulta store I was drawn to it because of the shades.  This palette is very pretty and  I feel that for the price point the quality of the eyeshadows are nicely formulated and I have created some great looks with this palette.  Like I said if you are budget conscious like I am, scoping up a few of the palettes in this product line will pretty much set you up to create some great looks without spending a whole lot of money.

Makeup Revolution Luxury Banana Baking Powder – $8.00

The Makeup Revolution Luxury Banana Baking Powder is great for those with a more yellow and undertone.  This baking powder is an awesome dupe for a few more expensive baking powders on the market.  With an $8.00 price point, I can’t complain.  This powder sets my foundation and concealer in place.  The Makeup Revolution baking powder does not only come in banana, but there are also other shades of powder that you can purchase that would work with your skin tone.  Those shades are lace, ghost, and terracotta.

Now that I have given you a review on some of the products that I have purchased from Makeup Revolution, let me give you my final thoughts.  Like I have said throughout this post this makeup line is very affordable.  As for my skin, I have not had any skin issues or any allergic reactions. I can only highly recommend this brand for my budget conscious readers.

I want to thank everyone that has stopped by to visit and also those that have subscribed and joined the #LSTRIBEFAM.  I am having so much fun in my journey and I can’t wait to share more with you all.
