This week’s focus is on the color and medal Rose Gold. I have been obsessed with Rose Gold for a few years now and I don’t see that obsession slowing down any time soon.
I first became more aware of this color when Apple introduced the Rose Gold iPhone. I was so intrigued by the color that once the phone was finally released, I purchased it. When it arrived I thought it was so beautiful in person. I was totally hooked so of course, I had to buy rose gold matching accessories for it but the obsession didn’t stop there. I started to see for the first time Rose Gold everything. Now I know that the color and the medal has been around for a long time and I guess for me I never truly noticed it. My eyes were now keen on the color. Everywhere I went I saw rose gold this and rose gold that.
Soon after I started purchasing more rose gold items from earrings, rings, sunglasses, purses, and even stationary. I even just recently purchased a rose gold MacBook along with matching MacBook accessories. Rose gold is now that staple color that everyone is dying to have.
Considered by many to be the most romantic metal due to its pinkish-red color. Often more affordable than other metals because copper—the alloy used to make rose gold—costs less. Very durable due to the strength of copper—making rose gold tougher than yellow or white gold.
Rose gold, also known as pink gold and red gold, was popular in Russia at the beginning of the nineteenth century and was also known as Russian gold, although this term is now obsolete. Rose gold jewelry is becoming more popular in the 21st century and is commonly used for wedding rings, bracelets, and other jewelry.
Rose gold has been around for a long time but like I said earlier I just never noticed it. Previous to my new obsession the only medals or accessory colors I would only purchase or wear were platinum, white gold or silver. I have never been a fan of yellow gold so I would usually only wear yellow gold if I just had too. I now have a new love and I can tell you that my obsession is not going away anytime soon. I already have a few more rose gold items that I plan on adding to my collection.
Well, that is all for this weeks post I hope you all enjoyed it. Please feel free to comment below.
