Colourpop No Filter Foundation Review

Hello all, this week I will be doing a review on the new Colourpop No Filter Foundation. This foundation release was one of the most highly anticipated releases for Colourpop. Colourpop is a very affordable makeup line and they are very well known for offering great products at a great price.  When I heard about this new foundation I was so excited that this new foundation was released in 42 shades and that alone excited me.

I really love that cosmetic companies are starting to listen to the masses as far as offering foundation shades for everyone.  So when my favorite beauty influencers started getting this foundation to review, I was very intrigued on what they had to say.  I was surprised that with each review that I saw, overall they truly loved this foundation.  So being the makeup junkie that I am, I ordered this foundation right away. I really like that when you go to the site they have an option to help you select your foundation shade based on shades that you purchase from other brands. I was able to match my shade comparing the shade that I usually purchase from MAC Cosmetics.  I am shade NC45 in the Mac Studio Fix Foundation so when I selected my shade the site advised that I would be Dark 155.  So I crossed my fingers with the hope that the shade would match.  The only thing that I didn’t like is that the Colourpop foundation so far will only be sold online. So for me, I was extremely nervous because it is so hard for me to shade match foundation. I always go into Ulta or Sephora to get shade matched because of my skin shade and undertone.

The day that the foundation arrived I tore into the box and immediately opened and started to compare the foundation shade with my other foundations and to my surprise, it was a very good match.  It is a little lighter on me right now because I am very tanned but I can still wear it by slightly bronzing my skin to make it perfect.  I may order a shade darker as well since I do tend to tan like two to three shades deeper in the summertime. Otherwise, the foundation shade was pretty dead on.  The next day I decided to try this foundation out and see how this faired for a 10 hour day.  When I first put this foundation on I noticed that it didn’t really feel like I had foundation on.  It felt very light and airy on my skin.  The consistency is a little watery so I was interested in the type of coverage this foundation was. Can I tell you that a little goes a long way?  I only put two pumps on my foundation brush to apply and I felt that I should have only used one pump.  The application was pretty amazing and it covered every imperfection on my skin.  With my foundation purchase, I also ordered the No Filter Loose Setting Powder in Banana.  I have always set my foundation with a banana powder so I really wanted to order this powder just to see how this would work as far as setting my foundation.  The powder was very light and it applied very well.  I was happy as far as how flawless my skin looked after I applied the foundation and the powder. I wore this foundation for about 10+ hours and at the end of the day,  I am happy to report that I was very impressed with how the foundation looked.  The foundation didn’t feel icky and I didn’t feel the need to rush to clean my skin.  It was very hot on this day so I was very surprised how this foundation held up. Here are pictures of when I first started and ended my day as you can see the foundation held up really well.  Overall I was really impressed with the foundation.  There are a few more products that I would like to try out from this new release in which I will more than likely do another review.
