The Benefits of a Facial

Hello all,

This week I am going to discuss the benefits of getting facials. I have been getting facials since I was in college and yes I will admit that back then I wasn’t getting them too often because I was not having issues with my skin and I was a broke college student. So whenever I was able to get facials I got them. Now a bit later in life when I was pregnant with my daughter all hell broke loose as far as my skin. So I was advised that I needed to start getting facials on regular bases to get my skin under control. I had a great aesthetician at the time and she saved my skin. She provided me with a skin consultation and suggested a skincare plan and products that helped me tremendously.

Now once my daughter was born well like most mothers, I didn’t have the time to continue on going back for monthly facials. So my once a month eventually turned into once every six months. With being a new mom and trying to figure out a routine that just worked was quite difficult for me. So like before my skin started to act up once again. I was forced to really do some research and find a way to start caring from my skin on my own. Fast forward to now that I am in my 40’s and my daughter is now a teenager, I am a skincare junkie. I am all about going to my aesthetician for facials at least every 1 or 2 months and really focus on taking care of my skin. Below are benefits is why facials are important.

If you can afford to get a facial once a month or even twice a month then do it. As we all get older our skin requires a bit more to keep it refreshed and vibrant. If you are on a budget you can even do your facials at home. In between my facial appointments I have researched intensely products that I can use to pamper myself at home. Products that range from facial and eye masks, to even creating your own pamper regimen will help keep your skin on the right track.

Now that I am in my 40’s, skin care is a must and please don’t wait until you are in your 40’s to start taking care of your skin. Skincare even in your 20’s and 30’s will help you down the line to look just as fabulous in the future.

Well, that’s all for this week’s blog. I want to just say thank you to everyone that has subscribed and feel free to comment below.

XOXO

  1. I create my own facials with oils, clays, and dead sea salt. I also usually use a combination of frankincense, lavender, and lemon oil in my stuff too. I’m way way too broke to go get a facial, although it is wonderful when I can get one. Do you have other resources for people like me who literally cannot afford to go out and buy expensive products?

  2. Yep I’m really starting to look after my skin better now I’m 33 and seeing signs of aging. I only have a facial about once every six months but would love to do this more. Wished I had worn sunscreen more!
